Coos Health and Wellness (CHW) reported earlier today they will be removing the 23rd Covid death for Coos County after reviewing the circumstance in the case. The death of the 46-year-old male was reported on March 16th by Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and CHW. Dr. Eric Gleason says CHW strives to report the most accurate information and the inclusion of the death would be incorrect. They say the man may have tested positive for Covid, however, the cause of death was not related to that diagnosis. Gleason says In future reports CHW will be placing an asterisk by the number of deaths on the daily reports. It represents a number that will not match OHA’s reported deaths. To date Coos County has reported 260 new cases this month and 350 people being monitored.
