Coos County Will Remain in Covid High Category for Second Week

According to Coos Health and Wellness (CHW), Coos County will remain at High for Business/Recreation and On-Site or Hybrid option for Education according to the most recent numbers from the Oregon Health Authority. Coos Health and Wellness reported earlier today the 31st Covid related death, female in her 60’s with underlying conditions. With the most recent announcement of clotting issues reported with the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, the Oregon Health Authority has paused the use of that product in Oregon until further guidance from the FDA is released. CHW says that if you received the J&J vaccine and feel that you are having a severe reaction to contact your doctor immediately. Any doses that were scheduled for use in vaccine clinics and pods will be replaced with Moderna.
