North Bend’s Moira O’Bryan has been crowned Miss Oregon’s Outstanding Teen 2021 that was held in Seaside over the weekend. She won the state title and $3,000 in scholarships. O’Bryan used her voice in the talent competition and sang “Maybe This Time” from Cabaret. O’Bryan’s social impact platform is shining a light on suicide prevention strategies and reducing the stigma of mental health and improving access to resources. O’Bryan recently graduated from North Bend High School as Valedictorian. She will be continuing her education and studying Psychology and Musical Theater, at Stanford University. She will be competing at the national level in five weeks at Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2021 held in Orlando, Florida. O’Bryan won K-DOCK’s Coos County’s Got Talent competition in 2019.
There will be a WELCOME BACK celebration at the North Bend Visitors Center at 5:40 PM tonight when Moira returns from Seaside. The public is encouraged to bring signs of support and line up next to the highway.
