OSP Seeks Help with Triple Murder Investigation

Oregon State Police officials are requesting information regarding how a suspect in a triple murder case traveled from Noti to Springfield on June 18th. OSP believes that 30-year-old Oen Evan Nicholson may have obtained a ride from someone near Noti who then took him to Springfield where he allegedly abducted Laura Johnson. Johnson then drove the suspect to Wisconsin where he turned himself into police. Nicholson has been charged with first-degree murder in the killing of three people at two separate North Bend locations last week. According to authorities, his 83-year-old father died of homicidal violence, a Florida man was struck by a truck and killed at the same RV park, and a third woman was shot and killed at a dispensary just up the Highway. The truck the suspect allegedly drove was found abandoned in Noti. Anyone with information about the timeline between Noti and Springfield is asked to contact the Oregon State Police at 1-800-442-0776 and leave information regarding case number SP21-168713.
