The Coos County Forestry Department has announced today the closure of Coos County Forest Lands to motorized vehicles and all smoking due to extremely dry conditions and ongoing large wildfires across the state. The county-owned forest will be closed to unauthorized motor vehicles; however, foot traffic and non-motorized bicycles are permitted. Restrictions could change as fire conditions change.
