BREAKING: ORCCA Board Dismisses Executive Director Kim Brick

The Oregon Coast Community Action Board of Directors has dismissed Executive Director Kim Brick and has immediately appointed Wendi Baird as the Interim Executive Director. Brick, who rose to the leadership position in April of 2020, had worked for the non-profit organization. She had replaced former Director Mike Lehman who had retired. As of last night, Brick no longer works for ORCCA. With the announcement, the board gave no reason for the dismissal but indicated the action was recommended by the organization’s Executive Committee. Baird has served as the Head Start Director for the organization and will remain in that position with the support from Sara Stephens who is the Executive Director of the South Coast Regional Early Learning Hub. According to the press release, the board will be working with the Community Action Partnership of Oregon and neighboring CAP agencies to form a temporary administrative support structure. The ORCCA Executive Director position will be posted soon, and the qualified applicants will be actively sought to fill the position as soon as possible.
