Coquille Moves to Some Online Learning with COVID Surge

The Coquille School District Board of Directors has made the decision to move Junior and Senior High learning to online rather than in person. The board, in a release to families, also suspended all athletics due to COVID-19 cases that have affected players in football, volleyball, and soccer. The letter was released to families and supporters of the district on Monday, September 14th regarding cases for a decision to move to online learning. Officials say the board made the decision to move to online learning after cases arose earlier today. The campus will close for the next three weeks. School district staff will be contacting families to set up distance learning to be operational by Wednesday, September 22nd with the hopes of returning to in-person learning on October 11th.
