To ensure the safety of students and staff, Reedsport School District Superintendent Jon Zwemke has opted to close school Wednesday. According to a post on the district’s page, Reedsport Police notified the district of another threat of violence. Because police are not able to identify who is sending the messages, the level of threat, and the lack of additional information, both schools will be closed. Students and staff are asked to not attend or report to schools or offices. Information will be provided when authorities believe it is safe to return. Anyone with information that can help the investigation is asked to call the Reedsport Police Department.
