According to Coos Health and Wellness, a karaoke event held at a local bar is allegedly responsible for at least 30 cases of COVID-19. Those infections have spilled over into schools and community infections. CHW says that more cases could come from this event because it was held over multiple days. CHW also reported that several schools in the area are reporting student exposures and staff exposure at North Bay. Multiple cases of COVID-19 are being reported at SWOCC. Parents have been notified and school cohorts exposed are currently quarantined at home.
CHW also updated media concerning larger outbreaks in the area including Lifecare with 81 cases and Belloni Ranch with 27. Both will be resolved by February 7th.
