Man Pleads Guilty in North Bend Shooting

A Coos County man has pled guilty to multiple crimes that stemmed from a shooting in a North Bend neighborhood in 2018. 57-year-old Frank Glen Mason IV has been in custody since the incident on Chester Street North Bend on November 13, 2018, that resulted in the death of his estranged wife and injuries to his daughter. Mason also reportedly shot at one neighbor while fleeing the scene and another neighbor returned fire. Mason was later found in his home and taken into custody. Yesterday Mason pled guilty to First Degree Manslaughter, Second Degree Attempted Murder, two counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. Sentencing will take place on February 26th before Judge Martin Stone.
