Oregon’s Governor announced the state would be following the CDC guidance for COVID safety measures. The latest mask and social distancing guidance only apply to vaccinated individuals. The CDC announced today that people fully vaccinated do not have to wear masks indoors and outdoors in most public places. The Governor added that means Oregonians who are fully vaccinated will no longer need to wear masks or social distance in most public spaces. Exceptions include public transportation, hospitals, healthcare clinics, correctional facilities, and long-term care facilities. She urged immune-compromised people to continue to follow the recommendations of their health care providers. The governor stopped short of changing anything in schools. The Oregon Health Authority is expected to update guidance for businesses in the coming days.
