Possible Covid-19 Exposure at Youth Soccer Games

Coos Health and Wellness expressed concern at today’s Covid-19 Press Conference, regarding a series of soccer games that took place at the former Bangor School in North Bend on April 10. Contact Tracers with CHW have confirmed at least one case may have been connected to the game between team Blue Moon and Team Lloyds Smokehouse and Tavern at the Coos County Youth Sports games. However, officials with CHW are unsure of the number of possible exposures of school-age children at the game and or parents and spectators. CHW officials say there has been a school spread but did not identify a school. CHW is asking for cooperation to determine the extent of the Covid-19 exposure. They also remind people if they are feeling sick to stay home. They also encourage other Covid-19 safety protocols in place. CCYS officials had not yet responded to requests for information at the time of this story.
