Attempted Murder Suspect At Large in Coos County

***UPDATED***
Local Authorities have apprehended a North Bend Man after a Public Assistance Request was sent out earlier today. Multiple Agencies were able to find and arrest 46-year-old Robert Elliott Danford after a citizen tip resulted in his location.
Local Authorities are searching for the suspect they believe to be armed and extremely dangerous after finding his former girlfriend allegedly beaten and bludgeoned in the brush near Charleston. Coos County Sheriff Deputies found the 43-year-old female victim near the South Slough National Estuarine Reserve following a call from a concerned citizen around 10:45 Wednesday night. Authorities say they now have probable cause to arrest 46-year-old Robert Elliott Danford of North Bend on charges of Attempted Murder, Kidnapping, and Assault. Deputies believe the alleged assault and kidnapping happened after the victim left her work shift in North Bend. The victim had significant injuries to her face, eyes, neck, and brain. She was taken to Bay Area Hospital and later transferred to Springfield. Authorities say Danford violated a restraining order. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, jeans, and black Croc Sandals. Danford has ties in the North Bend and Empire district of Coos Bay.
