North Bend will have a ballot title for the North Bend Municipal Pool in the upcoming General Election. The measure will be a levy to help fund the pool operations and maintenance. Officials with the City of North Bend say the levy may cause an increase in property taxes by more than three percent or fifty-six cents per one-thousand dollars over a five-year period that would raise over two-million-dollars. The levy will allow the pool to reopen as well as restore services and replace damaged equipment, increase pool hours and add back programs that were cut. It will also justify investing in improvements to the 65-year-old facility. If the levy were to fail the pool will be unfunded and remain closed. North Bend voters who would like to petition the ballot title can do so before March 8th at 5 PM.
