Bottle Drop Seeks State Approval for North Bend Site

The Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative is seeking approval to site a Beverage Container Redemption Center in North Bend. In 2021, a previous application was submitted to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission for a location off of Teakwood Avenue but fell through. The current application for a location in North Bend was submitted to OLCC on December 8th. The address listed on the application is the former Coca-Cola site off Newmark in North Bend. The Beverage Container Redemption Centers commonly known as “BottleDrop” would provide services in two zones. The main redemption center will allow redemption of up to 350 containers per person per day through the self-serve machines. They will also allow up to 15 bags for each account in a single quarter. According to the application, if approved, the center will open as early as the Summer of this year.
