Coos County Commissioners will meet in a special work session Tuesday to discuss the expansion of Riley Ranch Campground and the future of the Motocross track near the campground. Riley Ranch is located north of the bay area and has direct access to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. The county had come under fire recently from some who use the facility out of concern they would lose the track. The land that houses the track is owned by the county. Commissioners recently renewed a five-year lease with the motocross organization. Tomorrow night’s meeting will discuss future access and answer questions. The hybrid meeting will be held at the Owen Building in Coquille at 6 o’clock or virtually using the link on the board of commissioners meeting agenda. That can be found on the Coos County website.
