Coos County hospitalizations increased over the weekend to 13. Coos Health and Wellness reported that 11 of the current hospitalizations are at Bay Area Hospital, however, it is unknown if the cases are currently in ICU or not. Coos County is also one of three seeing an increase of COVID-19 cases while other counties are having continual decreases. Officials say the increases are due to community spread, congregate settings, and outbreaks. That includes a local auto dealership. According to a Ken Ware company official, the outbreak has been nearly resolved and likely came from outside since state-mandated safety protocols have been followed since the beginning of the pandemic. CHW officials say there are 177 active cases the second-highest amount the county has had since it started reporting active cases.
