Les’ Sanitary Service will remove the garbage and recycling for free for The Devereux Center. The center’s typical garbage service bill is between one thousand dollars and twelve hundred dollars, which is also the centers biggest expense. The funds being saved by the in-kind donation will go towards helping people. The center helps around 300 clients each month and has a steady flow of trash like packaging, food waste, worn-out clothes, and more. Bill Richardson, the manager for Les’ Sanitation, said the decision was easy to make after learning of the facility’s financial strain. The center runs on grants and donations from local community members. Those wanting to donate food, clothing, or money can drop off donations at the center, online at thedevereuxcenter.org, or by giving them a call at 541-888-3202.
