The City of Coos Bay has closed the Crab Dock at the Empire Boat Ramp. City staff was alerted that the dock had experienced movement during the strong winds the day before. Upon investigation, staff found several cross members were broken or missing. Staff have closed the dock for safety purposes and will have the dock evaluated by a marine engineer for structural integrity. Officials ask that pedestrians and anglers stay off the dock.
