Former Coos Bay Police Officer Convicted of Sex Crimes

A former Coos Bay Police Officer has been convicted of multiple counts including sexual crimes involving a minor before Judge Andrew Combs in Coos County Circuit Court. Terry Scott Rogers was convicted of First-Degree Sexual Penetration, Sexual Abuse, Luring a Minor, Second-Degree Unlawful Sexual Penetration, and Third-Degree Sexual Abuse. Rogers was charged in September 2021 for incidents that took place from 2012 to 2016. He had been placed on administrative leave prior to the allegations. Rogers posted a $50-thousand-dollar security four days after being arrested. He’ll be sentenced on the 20-count conviction Monday, April 18, 2022.
