Former Police Officer Sentenced to 63 Years in Prison

A former Coos Bay Police Officer has been sentenced to more than 63 years in prison. Terry Scott Rogers received 762 months total in jail following a 20-count conviction last week. Rogers came before Judge Andrew Combs who reviewed the sentencing yesterday. Rogers was convicted on multiple counts of First Degree Unlawful Sexual Penetration, First Degree Sexual Abuse, Second Degree Sexual Penetration, Third Degree Sexual Abuse, and Luring a minor. The charges stemmed from incidents that took place between 2012 and 2016. Rogers will serve the full sentence before a lifetime post-prison supervision. Rogers was on administrative leave when he was arrested in September of last year.
