Krista our Office Manager has compiled a detailed list of Halloween events in and around Coos County! Come back here for any updates before Sunday! Enjoy and please be safe! 

 

Now through October 31st –

12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Mahaffy Ranch Pumpkin Patch. Open Daily visit the Mahaffy Ranch. For more information visit http://mahaffyranch.com

October 29th through 31st –  

6:30 PM to 10:30 PM – Coos Bay Speedway – Can you make it through the woods of terror? The Coos Bay Speedway is hosting this haunted maze this Halloween Weekend out at the speedway.  General Admission is $12 dollars. October 29th –

3:00 PM to 5:00 PM – Downtown Trick or Treat – Visit businesses in Downtown Coos Bay displaying an Orange poster with a pumpkin for Coos Bay’s annual Safe Trick or Treat. They will also have a photo contest. Visit Coos Bay Downtown Association on Facebook for a list of participating businesses and post your photos with the #CBDAHalloween for a chance to win prizes. www.coosbaydowntown.org

7:00 PM – 12:00 AM – Humboldt Club – Come dressed up at the Humboldt for our Halloween party and costume contest! $50 gift certificate to 1st place, $25 to the next 2 runner-ups. Spooky complimentary appetizers are being served on the hour with happy hour prices all night! That’s $.75 off liquor and $.50 off beer. Come enjoy free pool, load up the jukebox and order those creepy drink specials!

8:00 PM to 12:00 AM – Captain’s Cabin Bar, All things Spooky at the Cabin! Scaryoke contest with prizes, Spooky tunes and dancing, costume contest, and don’t forget tricks and treats! It’s a Halloween extravaganza!

October 30th –

Lakeshore Lodge – Come early and enjoy some of our awesome dinner specials and then move into the Lounge for some awesome music, dancing, games, and a total blast!! See you there! They will have DJ and dancing, $100 prize for best costume, Goulash food and drink Games and more prizes

12:00 PM – Join the Elks Lodge in Coquille for their Halloween party! They will have a Tournament (18-hole scramble, 12 pm tee time) for $65 per person. CASH PRIZES!!! Dinner is included or $20/plate for those not playing in the tournament. Costumes encouraged!! Coos Rhythm and Blues will play from 7-10.  Costume contest with the following categories: kids, singles, couples, and seniors (65+). Prizes will depend on the number of participants. 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM – The Salvation Army Church Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat – If you are looking for a safe alternative to the traditional door-to-door trick or treating. Join the Truck or Treating event from the comfort of your car. Every Child 18 and under that come in costume will receive treats from every vehicle at the drive-thru trunk or treat event. 1155 Flanagan Avenue in Empire.

5:00 PM to 9:00 PM – There will be a Public Skate Night at the Coquille Community Building. There will be Halloween Costume Contests, Games, and Concessions. The cost is $5.00 per person.

8:00 PM to 12:00 AM – Coquille Boiler – Time to get Spooky! Scaryoke, Spooky tunes, costume contest with cash prizes and don’t forget the tricks and treats! Join Just A Little Friendly Karaoke as we take over the Coquille Broiler for Halloween!

 October 31st –

4:00 PM to 7:00 PM – Trunk or Treat – Charleston Fishing Families will host their annual Trunk or Treat on Halloween from 4 to 7 PM at the Charleston Boat Marina Complex. For more information call 541-404-5984.

5:00 to 6:00 PM – Coos History Museum – Free Virtual Program! Join Darrell Gulstrom (Norway Cemetery), Jim Proehl (Bandon History Museum), Becky Soules (Marshfield Pioneer Cemetery), and Richard Whitwer (Coos History Museum) to learn about Coos County history. Dig deep into the underground history of our local cemeteries to discover the relationship between the headstones we see above ground and the people that lie beneath them. Hear about haunting tragedies, mysterious practices, and other fascinating stories this Halloween!

5:00 PM to 7:00 PM – Visit the Myrtle Point Fire Departments Halloween Open House. On Sunday, October 31st from 5 PM to 7 PM come climb on a fire truck, meet the fire and ambulance crews, and have safe family fun. There will be a family-friendly event with hot dogs, chips, drinks, and candy.

5:30 PM to 7:00 PM – Drive-Thru Trick or Treat – The First Presbyterian Church in participation with the Kids Hope Center and Bay Area Hospital will have a drive-thru trick or treat on Halloween starting at 5:30. The event will be held at 2238 Pony Creek Road in North Bend. For more information call 541-756-4155

November 1st –

3:00 to 5:00 PM – Waterfall Community Health Center Candy Buy Back – In the interest of better health for our kids, Waterfall is happy to once again sponsor a Halloween Candy Buyback program this year! They will pay kids $1.50 per pound for any and all wrapped candy and they will receive a special Halloween Toothbrush. The collected candy will be sent to US troops overseas for a taste of home. Tell all the kids you know!
