Officer Facing Multiple Sex Crimes Released on Security Bond

A Coos Bay Officer accused of multiple sex crimes against a minor has been released from jail on a security bond. Terry Scott Rogers, a Coos Bay Police Officer was released earlier this week after posting a $50-thousand-dollars security. Rogers was being held for 20 counts including charges of 1st Degree Unlawful Sexual Penetration, 1st Degree Sexual Abuse, Luring of a Minor, and 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse. Rogers has been on Administrative Leave from the department. He is scheduled to appear in Coos County Circuit Court on October 4th for a Change of Plea hearing.
