There is an open house hosted by the Devereux Center at the Coalbank Village today starting at 4 PM. The Coalbank Village is the newest project for the center and allows for safe, secure temporary housing for the homeless within the community. They also help get state identification and birth certificates so they can apply for jobs to enable them to get more permanent and stable housing. Tara Johnson the Executive Director of the Devereux Center says that since opening the village they have already seen clients get their IDs, employment, and purchased vehicles and insurance. The open house is an opportunity to learn more about the facility or different ways to get involved. For more information visit The Devereux Center on Facebook.
