OSP Identifies Pedestrian Killed in January Crash

Oregon State Police have confirmed the identity of the pedestrian victim in a crash that took place last month. The accident happened in the Bunker Hill District south of Coos Bay on January 4th. A Toyota 4Runner struck and killed a pedestrian crossing the highway. Oregon State Police Captain Stephanie Bigman today said the pedestrian was 44-year-old Brenda Michelle Latimer. OSP last month incorrectly identified the victim as someone else. But corrected the three days after the crash, however, were still conducting the investigation and did not immediately identify the victim. OSP indicated weather and low visibility may have contributed to the accident.
