Quadruple Homicide Suspect Charged Additionally with Kidnapping

The man charged with killing four people and kidnapping another appeared in Coos County Circuit Court today. Oen Evan Nicholson received two additional first-degree kidnapping charges when he appeared in court. Attorneys also received a status update on the 16 charges levied prior to his arrest in connection with the four deaths. Nicholson is charged with killing 74-year-old Anthony Oyster and his wife 73-year-old Linda Oyster of Florida, 47-year-old Jennifer L. Davidson, and his father, 83-year-old Charles Simms Nicholson on June 18th at two north bend locations. Nicholson was indicted by a grand jury on first-degree kidnapping charges. Those stem from an incident in Springfield. Nicholson allegedly entered 30-year-old Laura Johnson’s vehicle and forced her to drive him to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was located safe and Nicholson turned himself in to authorities. Nicholson is scheduled to appear for a jury trial in 2023. He’ll appear on the 28th for a change of plea for the two first-degree kidnapping charges.
