The Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle in the water close to the Dellwood gate yesterday around 9:30 AM. The deputy requested assistance due to the steep embankment and conditions of the river. Mast Brothers towing and deputies from the marine division were able to hoist the truck from the water. 36-year-old Jose Perez-Ramirez and 36-year-old Robert L Poblano were found deceased inside the cab of the vehicle. After an investigation, authorities determined that speed and unfavorable road conditions were most likely the cause of the crash.
