Expect south winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
The warning area includes the south Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast including the Gold Beach, Port Orford, Cape Blanco, and Bandon areas as well as along the coastal headlands. Portions of Highway 101 near Pistol River, Gold Beach, Port Orford, and Bandon could be affected.
* IMPACTS – Travel could be especially difficult, due to the combined effects of strong, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall, at times. This could also result in some mud and rockfall in and near slide areas.
* PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTION – People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.
