*** FLOOD WATCH IN EFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY ***

FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY including the cities of Coos Bay, Myrtle Point, North Bend, Charleston, Powers, Coquille, Reedsport, Lakeside, and Bandon.

Expect flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible through Wednesday morning.

  • IMPACTS – Excessive runoff from heavy rain and snowmelt may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS – Extensive low elevation snowpack with heavy rain on it over the next 2 to 3 days will lead to the possibility of localized flooding of streams, creeks, and low-lying areas.
  • PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS – You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
