HIGH SURF WARNING in EFFECT

*** HIGH SURF WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM WEDNESDAY TO 10 AM FRIDAY ***

Dangerously large breaking waves peaking at 30 to 35 feet on all beaches and shorelines of Curry, Coos, and Douglas counties. The most extreme conditions are expected at and south of Cape Blanco.

Extremely large breaking waves will create very hazardous conditions along beaches and area shorelines. Waves will inundate beaches and surge into normally dry areas. Infrastructure damage and significant beach erosion can be expected.

Peak winds and seas are expected to produce high surf will begin along south-facing shorelines Wednesday night, then spread to all areas of the coast Thursday into Thursday night.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS: Beaches and coastlines will become hazardous due to very large and life-threatening surf conditions. Stay off of beaches, rocks, jetties, piers, and other waterside infrastructure.
