Expect large breaking waves of 20 to 25 ft through Wednesday afternoon. Dangerously large breaking waves of 25 to 35 are expected Wednesday night into Thursday morning on the South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast, which includes all beaches of Curry, Coos, and Douglas Counties.
IMPACTS…Huge breaking waves will create hazardous conditions along beaches and area shorelines. Waves will inundate beaches and surge into normally dry areas. Infrastructure damage and significant beach erosion can be expected.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…King Tides are expected during this time and this will increase the inundation of beaches and increase the risk of beach erosion.
