Expect south winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph expected. Higher gusts are possible along capes and headlands of the South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast, including the cities of Brookings, Gold Beach, Port Orford, Bandon, Coos Bay, and North Bend, and significant portions of US 101.
* IMPACTS…Damaging winds could cause tree damage and power outages. Travel will become difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Loose and unsecured objects may be blown away or damaged.

People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.
